So, here I am. Back in old Blogger again.
My, how things have changed since I first started this thing. Back in those days, the cool DOM-powered random-cycling color-scheme I have here was cutting-edge. Now, with AJAX, it hardly seems even minutely remarkable. I still like it, though. I've been over at LJ the last few years, randomly enjoying myself. However, there's just something about it that's just not what I'm feeling. I wanted to register exblogger.com since I thought it'd be witty to keep a blog on a site called exblogger, but, 10 days before I had that idea, some Malaysian college kids registered it to be, of all things, the next student-targeted blogsite.
Maybe I'll register exblogger.net.
I made a promise to Heather a while back that I'd revamp her blog template. I plan to do that this week. I hope I can come up with something interesting and/or useful.
I might even work on mine a bit.
A new Beginning...
This is the first post automagically published on my new webspace... wee!
End of an era...
Well, it had to happen sometime... this will be the last post to www.bangjake.net/tempest/ in its current state. I may get the domain moved over to shas's box but likely not. I'm reconfiguring the blogger backend to post there instead of here after posting this entry. I'd say my first attempt at separating style and content has been fairly successful. See you in the future, come what may.
I do still know how to use this thing... but in other news, as of this month www.bangjake.net is going away. Thanks to shas I'm getting hooked up with a new space.
So, don't fret if you show up here and find a 404. The Tempest will continue on. Also, My Live Journal won't be going anywhere, and it will always have a link to "my *other* webpage"-- wherever that may be.
Well.. I hate to say it, but LJ has won my affection. So... look for something more informative in this space soon... (maybe.) I'll of course keep the archives for posterity, if for no other reason. Anyway, watch it for updates.</blog>
GASP!
I've joined the dark side... I did start the livejournal. It was raina that finally convinced me. It can be found here. The updates will be there for a while, until i decide whether to keep it or not.
This was an excerpt from a conversation in shasradio chat. it's toooo funny:
21:10:54 [rainacake] i was trying to be careful with the soap
21:11:02 [rainacake] then i realized, how hard can it be to clean up soap?
21:11:07 [rainacake] the end.
Funny, eh? Well, I thought so.
Well, i'm this close || to goin' ahead and kicking off production of the website for my all-but-existant production company. I've also noticed that bangjake.net is basically dead. So, I've been considering getting a LiveJournal even though I tend to be torn between liking and disliking the community aspects therein. We'll see...
